What is the schedule of the operas, ballets and/or plays?
Visit our series websites: www.operaincinema.com, www.balletincinema.com, and www.shakespeareincinema.com to find schedules for venues near you. Input your ZIP code or city name into the search bar on the upper-right hand section of your screen. Select “find venues near (city name).” The website will pull up all the venues near you and their complete schedules. Click the date of the screening to see showtimes.
With the exception of live broadcasts, each individual venue gets to choose its own schedule, showtimes and titles. While we encourage venues to play our newest titles, we allow our venues flexibility with their scheduling and programming, to best suit the needs of their communities. If there is a specific title you would like to see at your local theatre, contact your theatre to request it.
Not all of our venues are capable of showing live broadcasts, as they require additional equipment. Live broadcast dates are determined by the opera houses or ballet companies of origin, not by Emerging Pictures. If you would like to see live broadcasts at your local venue, contact your theatre to request it.

At this time, Emerging Pictures does not offer location-specific newsletters. However, we recommend the service provided by BachTrack.com, which can help you set up personalized alerts for Opera & Ballet in Cinema screenings in your area.

Do you screen operas from the Metropolitan Opera?
No, we screen operas, ballet and Shakespeare plays from theatres across Europe, including Teatro alla Scala, the Royal Opera House, the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Bolshoi Ballet, the Paris Opera Ballet, and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.
Why are there no venues near me?
If there are no venues near you, we’d love your ideas for cinemas where we might be a good fit. Note that we cannot screen our operas in venues that are already signed up with the Met Opera, as their contracts are exclusive. Click here to request a venue near you.

There is a venue listed near me, but there are no showtimes listed. Why is this?
If a venue has no showtimes listed, it is because they have nothing booked. Contact your local theatre to request that they book more through Emerging Pictures!

Emerging Pictures does not handle DVD sales of any of our titles.
Can I stream Opera/Ballet/Shakespeare in Cinema performances on my computer?
At this time we do not offer any live or recorded streaming services.
